Spring practice halted

I have a friend whos brother is on a ventilator right now.
If you care about him tell him (or his family) to get (him) off the ventilator and go get another opinion.
The putting of people on ventilators has been one of the primary factors in and contributors to death throughout this. I wrote about this extensively back in the original coronavirus thread way back. DYOR

I get my second Pfizer shot Tuesday at Texas Motor Speedway. It's a great resource in Denton County. Round trip from my home including a 15 minutes checking for an allergic reaction is about an hour and 15 minutes. They can run 14,000 a day through there.

Back on topic, Seniors need to lead ... last chance cafe ... omg
Missed spring practice last year, got ur coaches fired and now this ...

Hope you didn't see much of the carnage!?
I was outta town on the day of the Game Which Shall Not Be Named. Told the wife to record it. Avoided all mentions of it on news and papers. Got home; watched the 1st quarter; didn't say a word; ejected the tape; took it and a hammer out on the back porch and destroyed it.

True story. Nuff said.

Totally understand. The wifey and I got the Pfizer last month. She didn't like growing a 3rd thumb, but I've found it very useful in certain situations.
Got the Pfizer too. I'm afraid this protrusion on my forehead may be developing into a hand. Too early to tell if will be useful or not.

I am still trying to learn why practice was suspended, as opposed to simply quarantining the positive athletes. Has anyone been able to garner more details on this? There must have been some extraordinary circumstances to shut down Spring practice entirely.
(I type this as I glance through a piece on the CDCs' violations of federal laws and the misrepresentation of covid death #s)

An abundance of caution and it is easier to curtail activity than contact tracing for almost 100 exposed people. If reports are correct only two rooms were involved, but since the practice together the assumption is everyone was exposed.

No adult in the country can be vaccinated against their will, and they do not have to tell anyone whether the have been vaccinated or not.

Just saying.
We’ll see.

First look for travel and other places to require Rona vaccination records. I could see modifications to HIPAA and other laws and regulations (if that’s even necessary) for Rona vaccine proof.

Importantly, our players should all get the vaccine.

Okay, it appears practice was suspended due to possible exposure. Here’s what I say to the players if I was coach: get the shot and in the future you don’t have to stop any activity if there was possible exposure. If you don’t take the shot, you are removed for 5 or 10 days.

From a Washington Post article (not sure if applicable to Texas):

“Attorneys say that when it is necessary for the job, yes,it would be legal for employers to make hiring decisions based on whether applicants have been vaccinated against the virus. However, health-care labor and employment attorney Kevin Troutman noted that employers who are screening applicants based even partly on their vaccination records should be holding current employees in similar positions to those same standards.”

Why? All young and in incredible physical condition. What gives?

modifications to HIPAA

Not modification, but overthrow of a Draconian government regulation, which no physicians office or hospital can ever comply with. While your at it, please overthrow anything Pete Stark ever did regarding healthcare. What a moron.

:deadhorse:

....This thread...
I couldn't disagree more with the majority of the sentiment (no reference to the legal discourse with which I am in agreement)
Lost me at hello.
I think I'll sit this one out rest of the way.
Is there a button to poop an entire thread?
