Spring 2022 practice reports

I can't remember if last year the players talked about taking responsibility for their positions and accountability as a team.
But I read and feel a new dynamic. This years the players seem more like a team.
And it seems like they are having fun.
I recall Sark trying to put together his coaching staff and finish recruiting in the weeks leading up to spring camp. The incomplete training and practice is partly responsible for the late 3rd quarter and 4th quarter collapses.

If Hutson really is getting starting reps, I imagine Banks and Campbell will be in the mix as well. Hell, all of the 2022 guys are probably in the rotation at this point, considering our depth.

Every publication has to toe the "QB competition" line, but from what I've heard and seen, it's not even close.

Seeing some 20 personnel package with Bijan and Keilan here

It seems like every clip of Ewers I see, he puts the ball EXACTLY where it needs to be for the receiver and away from defenders. Exceptional judgement & accuracy. Of course many are in practice drills and some do not involve a defender, but.....

And what are you hearing and seeing?
Can you produce something.
Last scrimmage Sark they were almost identical.
Sark has also said Ewers is still learning the offense while Card knows it and can already tell where they heading with it.
Not that I expect Card to start.
But I think it's probably closer than you think.

Maybe. I get the sentiment of "hey they both completed 70% in the scrimmage" and what it means to the psyche of either of them to present it as a competition.

Card’s biggest problem last year was his inability to throw an accurate long ball. There were several crucial times last year where he missed wide open receivers way down field. His passes always seemed to drift. Unless he’s corrected that, I can’t see him as the starter.
