Someone get a tape of the USC/Stanford game for Coach Mensa

Great example of what to do when you have three tall WRs/TE against midget DBs. The last Stanford drive was textbook. Like Todd Blackledge said, "Throw it up high and let the big guys go get it. Stanford has been doing it all year".

They also both know how to run the ball. Schemes and plays, not just better lineman.

Bryce Love showed so much toughness and heart in that game. Wish he'd win the Heisman instead of Baker Massengill.

I saw that too, and had same thoughts

There was a brief period not that long ago when we did recruit taller WRs with this very idea in mind. In 2014 Strong signed WRs Dorian Leonard (6'4) and Garrett Gray (6'5) both former BBall players. He also signed a 6'5 JUCO TE the same season. But it never worked out for him..

I was thinking the same thing, but those opportunities were their for Sam and he either didn't see it or didn't know how to make the throw.

Heard could make those throws. All the Stanford QB did was throw it up into single and double coverage allowing the WR to go up and get it.
