^^^ Not really. Mack was 54-18 for an average of 9-3 with three 10-win seasons in the previous 6 years at UNC. Sumlin went 35-17 at Houston before aggy.

But yeah, Mack hadn't won the holy grail of college football, known as conference championships (finishing behind Florida state thrice in those 6 years, in one of which FSU had won the NC and the other times they had finished #3 in ranking). Sumlin had won 2 west division titles for Houston against the big shots in Conference USA.

Let's not knock Sumlin's record at Houston since it's only 2 wins different that Charlie's record at Louisville.

I for one don't care about how Kevin Sumlin compares to others including Charlie Strong, I think both schools made great choices on head coaches and wish both schools the best of luck. There are a lot of Texas high School kids that play for A&M and I hope they represent well. like a poster said above, time will tell.
