Actually, with the exception of Thompson it is a pretty good cast. I honestly think Wiig is pretty funny, but her katherine hepburn voice is like nails on a chalk board to me. When she uses that voice, even when the bit is funny, I have a hard time making it through it. Meyers/Poehler are both good on WEU. I'm not sure what to think about Casey Wilson yet, but she seems alright. If there is a failing in this group it is that there doesn't seem to be a real identity amoungst the writers, and the result is pretty uneven sketches. Personally, I'm blaming Thompson. That said, they hit at least a couple of times per show with some good stuff. As a viewer, nothing has gotten me back into SNL more than TiVo. The ability to trim 1:30 down to the funny bits makes it much easier to forgive the gaps in between.
