It's the same reason Al Sharpton mostly stands with fake victims of police brutality. Their relevance comes from complaining about supposed injustice in order to justify destroying the American system and, of course, to make money. Well, if they commend the system or acknowledge that it works, it diminishes their relevance.
 
A lib faking a hate crime saying the attacker had the President slogan on their caps. Just to make the other political side look bad. And everyone jumped on the bandwagon. It came to this, and you wonder why Rs can’t stand Liberals, unbelievable. You liberals don’t know the illegal acts your party will take to keep control.

Jussie sentencing proceedings going on as we speak...

His trial counsel trotted out every single 'poor Jussie, he jus be a victim' card but STILL refused to trot out the "I'm really sorry for what I did" card.

The State, conversely, has pointed out that the continued maintenance of doing nothing wrong in the face of a jury verdict can be a factor in sentencing. Also has highlighted the prior DWI in California where Jussie lied to police, creating a pattern.

State seems to be asking for a prison term with probation stacked behind, fines of up to $25K on each case AND community service.

hefty restitution nut of ~$120K
$25K fine

Oh, and more theatrics in Jussie yelling several times "I am NOT suicidal." Survey suggests he will be a martyr and *checks notes* off himself.

The judge went on...and on...and on...and on. But at least there is some time to be served even if just in the jail, where I guess he gets to hook up with the Gangster Disciples or the Vice Lords. Guarantee some of them, whoever he rides with, will be extras on a set if Smollett ever gets another job.

Racism is so out of control in the US, that a black man had to pay two black men to harass him.

Yes- injustice does exist. But these ahats that falsely claim racism hurt their cause. A UNT professor made all these claims about being humiliated by a cop….. uh she didn’t know his camera was rolling.
The cop was very friendly and this woman lied…. Why can’t this be criminal?
 
Y'all need to take it easy on Jussie. He wasn't safe in prison - they put him in a cell WITH his attacker, for crying out loud!!!!
