Word on the street is that Smash tried to crawl back to 'Bama but they told him to **** off.

Nope...there were no more bank jobs to offer his mom. Yesterday, he gave his verbal commitment to Whitmore, an all black school just down the road from his home.

How come Smash didn't wind up in Huntsville? Didn't the folks over at Sam show him some love, like they did Bomar?

I'd think that would help Smash get the attention of the coaching staff up in Stillwater.

Whitmore is thin at RB. Smash should be able to contribute early. I don't know where some of you get your information but I find it hard to believe that a program of such high regard as Bama would be discurtious to a high profile recruit. That stuff gets around. Surely Bama was very kind in their parting of ways.
