Sit back and watch the BIG10 scramble

Covid provided Meat Chicken with a convenient excuse to avoid their 9th straight beat down from the Bucks. Last year OSU won 56-27 and this year would have been worse. Since Meat Chicken forfeited, I think OSU should get a 1-0 win and go to 6-0.

Anything to keep the aggys out of the playoffs.

I might be the only one who Wants the Ags in, roller coaster high then the crash.
Hate it for the players at Aggieland but love it for my family.

They will get destroyed regardless of who they play.
TOSU should not be allowed in and yes, whomever wins the Championship is great...but 2020 was like an exhibition anyway. Way too many nutty factors to feel this was a normal season to compared to previous years.

I don't think there should even be playoffs or a MNC this year.
Just leave it at Conference titles and bowl games.
There will always be an asterisk to the 2020 championship.

No chance of that. ESPN / Disney didn't pay hundreds of millions of dollars for TV rights to have it all packed away for another season.

The National Championship of 2020 will count just as much as any other one. The only ones who bring up asterisks are the ones who didn't win.

I agree there is too much money involved to cancel it.
And while I wouldn't mind another trophy in the case if the Horns were in the hunt, I would never feel like it was a 100% earned during this season.
I'm almost glad we are not in the hunt.

Easy to say the season doesn't really matter when Texas is #3 not in the country, but in the conference, and looking at maybe playing a bowl game, if it's not canceled under them.

And I don't follow the not earned aspect - Texas has played everyone in conference so far, except for Kansas, and there have not been many completely cancelled games this year. The teams going to the B12 game have earned it via good wins. No asterisk required.

But yeah, pretty pointless to have a set of rules, then pitch them as soon as it would cost you money. It's a virtue siginaling league first, but money grubbing foremost.

Especially since they refused to bend the rules to let Nebraska schedule an out of conference team that wouldn't have hurt the Big Ten any and that both teams had mutually agreed to play.

The goal on any conference is to accentuate/profit on their best/high profile teams. There's been arguments here that the officiating for B12 championship games have skewed to OU so our best team is out there in the limelight. Ohio State is a superior team. I believe they deserve to be in the CFP, and might not need the B10 championship game/win to get in.

Oh yeah, forgot about the various decrees from high that the Big 10 was zapping Nebraska with early in the season, and when they were trying to virtue signal by canceling the season, 'till they saw the other conferences going ahead and realized how much money and influence they were going to lose.

As for the refs, it's the gradual slumping down of standards to favor who's in favor. The NBA has done it for years, which is why that league is a genuine as a pro wrestling match.

The B1G has clearly established just where Nebraska is in their pecking order, slightly below the scum you wipe off the bottom of your foot; seems like ironic justice for Big Red who ran away from the Big XII because of perceived slights only to go to the B1G where there is nothing perceived about it, they slight the hell out of NU and then tell them to sit down and shut up. Serves them right.

ESPN runs College Football and the Heisman - they decide who goes in or not - these committees are nothing more than a front for the CFB Mob aka ESPN

Agree. They (the "Committee") pick and choose whomever they want. Doesn't matter a lower team won the Conference, the loser with say a 12-1 record goes instead of a winner with a 10-3. The Rule should be, lose your CCG and you're out and no teams selected can be from the same conference. But, look what they did a few years back. Bama didn't even make the CCG and yet they were one of the four selected. Like pointed out above, it's all about the $$$.

Come on guys, everyone knows "Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free" really means "Money talks".

I agree with that as long as the eventual champion played a full season. As a Spurs fan it always pissed me off when other teams called for an asterisk after they won the 1999 NBA championship because every other team played the exact same season. This year, that isn't the case in CFB and a 6-0 team has no business in the playoffs facing teams that figured out how to get to 10-0 or better. Don't care about the impact of the Big 10 decisions either - it's your conference so live with it.

Dabo Swinney -

"If I was on a committee, it would be hard for me to leave out a 10-1 (aggy) or an 11-game Florida team over a team that's played six games."

Ol Dabo doesn’t wanna play'm, but I don’t think they should get in either. 6 game qualification is ridiculous.
