Sheperd Committed to LSU

It is true.

This no doubt sucks.....BUT, it is not the end of the world. In the long run, one player is not going to make or break us (unless his initials are VY)...Now if RS takes McFarland and Co. with him, then we have a big problem.
 
Good luck to the kid. Tough seeing this go down the way it did, but not a huge surprise after landing Gilbert. Now we can get 100% our QB of the future.

I saw some of Sheperd's runs on film and he is brilliant, I wish he had come here. He runs something like Vince, were his high school passing numbers as impressive? I seem to remember that Vince had some ungodly number of tds and only a few interceptions his senior year. How does Sheperd compare?

Again, not sour grapes. I was hoping such a great athlete who was already a fan could have found his way here. Best of luck to him.
 
I think RS has more Reggie McNeal in him than VY. With the talent that will be around him at LSU, he should exceed Reggie's career by a lot. not like that's saying much.
 
Damn,,,, would have loved to have him. I just HATE to see him commit to Les Miles. That's the worst part. Shepard seems like a really classy guy. Let's hope he doesn't hang out with RP too much.
 
sux that he will end up with the Kunasses but we get the QB we wanted. Good luck to RS in Baton Rouge. Lets hope that he doesnt get any more Texas guys over with him. I think the RB at CY-Ridge (top50 in tx right now) is looking at lsu also.
 
Good luck to him. I thought he could have fit in here had he been willing to RS and be patient for another year.

However we are pretty loaded at the QB position right now and with a better pure QB already on board you can't really get down about this. Also good he didn't go to Aggy or OU.
 
What about his new best friend McFarland?

Why is LSU able to take advantage of their MNC by dominating some early recruits and we couldn't.

his girlfriend had something to do with it as well. I'm not shocked, but he's going to have to put in some work in that offense before he's a good QB. He can't run every play. I like what we have, and who we have committed. Best of luck to the kid. Time to move on.
 
This will make it a little easier to root against RP, knowing his replacement is actually a good kid that handled the process with class. Not that I need any more reason to dislike RP, I just sometimes feel like a petty little girl when I hate on him.
