I used to have this debate with my game-watching buddies here. I always said the LSU loss was the worst. They said it was the loss to Syracuse. But these days, nobody cares enough anymore to even debate it.

What do y'all think?

USC just received a commitment from the #1 player in all of high school basketball: Evan Mobley. From the article:

"Mobley's father, Eric, is an assistant coach for the Trojans, and his older brother, Isaiah, is an incoming freshman for Andy Enfield's program. Eric Mobley was hired in March 2018 after spending several years coaching in the Compton Magic grassroots program. Two months later, Isaiah Mobley, a five-star prospect in the 2019 class, committed to USC."

So if you can hire Dad why can't alumni hire family members of targeted recruits? Or can they already?

You can, just don't get caught. It's a real slippery slope because too many people involved. Remember is was an Aggie graduate working for Big Red Motor Sports that turned in Bomar. It was Aggies that turned in SMU.

I personally held an employment situation over SMU if the mother lost her job & new home. (That's because the kid hated SMU and only lasted about 5-6 weeks.)

Then there's the issue with us and another school's great coach turned AD, where the threat was delivered personally, thus keeping it quiet for over thirty years.

Know the players and what their "security clearance" is.

Seemed strange to see all the announcements on website and nothing for men’s basketball. Guess that is one outfall of a young team.
