Seriously, Does Altitude matter?

A bunch of other people did it, they just have to wait to post until HR processes their final paycheck and they get to their home computer.

Ha! I googled it and the first link was to the Geeks Who Drink website. They go around to bars in Denver and put on a funny trivia game that the whole bar gets into. I was just in Denver a couple of months ago and they came to the bar I was at. It was fun.

Some sample team names:
The Bologna Ponies
Bukake in the Rockies
B.A. Barakus
She's Not Gonna F__k You
The Firm *** of Justice

I didn't really think I'd be finding them again in a roundabout way through Hornfans.

Years ago I played in a softball tourney in Steamboat Springs and I could actually tell a little bit. But in softball you don't run for very long at all so it wasn't that noticable to me. But I could tell the ball carried well when hit.

When I was in good shape, my family went hiking in Colorado and ended up about 1 mile from the car. I thought I would be nice and jog uphill back to the car and bring it back for everyone. I went about half a mile and got asthma. Back home, I could have run 15 at the same pace.

I was in Estes Park in June of this year. I'm in good shape and we went on a hike to almost 10k feet. I noticed that I did get winded easier, BUT it didn't last long. I caught my breath within a minute or so of stopping and it didn't wear on me any more than a normal hike.
So, rotation of players will be key. Keeping them fresh and rolling them in and out. No issues there.

Attitude>>>Altitude

Better if the players could arrive on Wednesday or so and get fully acclimated, but it shouldn't affect the outcome of this game, not with the depth we have (and we should be substituting freely throughout the game).

I did the Pikes Peak Ascent once and ended up walking above the treeline, and still got that massive headache afterwards, but that was 14,000 feet. 4000 feet at Boulder isn't worth worrying about.
