SCOTUS balance

He actually got the GOP B-team.

This is the funniest thing I've read all weekend. :lmao:

B-team, huh. Oh the cult is funny. Either you troll for fun on occasion or you simply have no clue how to research.

Lack of experience in regards to the duties of their position? Wow.

Ever looked up Sessions background before the Senate? 12 years US Attorney before becoming Alabama AG. Not to mention his lengthy service on the Senate Judiciary Committee that deals with the exact subjects of the DOJ. Nah, he's not experienced enough for his position as US AG. :rolleyes1:

How about Mattis? Guess he's inexperienced in military defense leadership.

Tillerson? I assume he's totally inexperienced with international relations at the highest levels. He was only one of the top oil execs in the world which constantly placed him in communications and negotiations with countless world leaders.

Sooner, this is the real world and facts matter despite the Lib devotion to emotion.

He actually got the GOP B-team. That's one of the challenges with his administration

:rolleyes1: I specifically asked for names due to knowing a lib would come on here bashing the appointees. You really didn't say anything. Pretty much blah blah, they such blah blah. Your names?

They were Houston/USF

Who do you have in mind that's not Houston/USF. Names? Sorry but your Hou/USF analogy had to be you trolling.

Matttis is a stud.

Sessions? Too much baggage. Hillary was experienced. I would support someone telling me that she had too much luggage.

Flynn? Fired by Obama. Ties to russia and turkey. I think he is now a cooperating witness.

Tillerson is experienced. Not at being a diplomat. He's a f'n oil company CEO with ties to, shocker, Russia.

Devos? Smh

Perry? Replaced a nuclear physicist. Eyeglasses can't close that gap.

Steven Miller? Lmao.

Bannon? Might as well nominate David duke.

Scott Pruitt? AG? Sure. Qualified, principled. EPA? WTF? He cut/paste letters from oil companies that he sent to the EPA in his various litigations against the agency he's now running. Hoping he will get msma back on the market so I can fight my crab grass.

Boris ephstyn? Actually a Russian named Boris. You can't make this stuff up.

Houston/USF. They get good recruits in small doses. They usually have something that keeps them from being offered by OU/UT/LSU/etc. such as grades, background issues, discipline issues, etc.

I hear good things about Kelly and that interior guy seems ok. I'm not a huge fan of gorsuch but he's a sold conservative pick.

You really think serving as Exxon Mobile's top shot caller in international meetings with world leaders is not akin to diplomatic relations?

Apparently you underestimate the importance of energy to the international community. I guarantee the audience, treatment, and respect he received on those countless foreign trips where every bit as royal as a SOS.

"On January 1, 2006, Tillerson was elected chairman and chief executive officer (CEO). Under Tillerson's leadership, ExxonMobil cooperated closely with Saudi Arabia, the world's largest oil exporter and a longtime U.S. ally, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. A European subsidiary of ExxonMobil, Infineum, operated in the Middle East providing sales to Iran, Sudan and Syria. ExxonMobil stated that they followed all legal framework and that such sales were minuscule compared to their annual revenue of $371 billion at the time. In 2009, ExxonMobil acquired XTO Energy, a major natural gas producer, for $31 billion in stock. Michael Corkery of the Wall Street Journal wrote that "Tillerson's legacy rides on the XTO Deal.'

Tillerson has vast experience negotiating deals with countless world leaders that benefited the best interest and success of the company he was representing.

Hillary has extensive experience making deals with world leaders that benefited her own financial interests above the interests of the country she represented.

But yeah, give me Hillary or Kerry. Professional politicians are more qualified and competent choices to represent American interests as SOS than an uber successful international oil boss. :lmao:

They usually have something that keeps them from being offered by OU/UT/LSU/etc. (In other words the establishment) such as grades, background issues, discipline issues, etc.
When you say grades, background checks is really meant collusion, you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours, taking payoffs from lobbyist, lets not get a damn thing done for the American People and lets go get a beer as we live high on the hog..... and such

Bubba,

Yes, the LSU's your talking about are the establishments which is what our current discussion is about. Remember, we were talking about draining the swamp which Statalyzer made this comment about Trump's appointees. "
Obama: I won't do things the Washington insider way.
Trump: I'm going to drain the swamp.

Same rhetoric, neither of them followed it. You can't drain the swamp with a clan of A-listers and powerbrokers and then claim you're an outsider just because you use meaner words than most to piss off the powerful guys you disagree with.
'

All you did was use the fake news CNN talking points. I know whoever is appointed can have something out there you can critique them all. I told Statalyzer "I'm not sure who Trump could pick that you'd be satisfied with?" They are human.

What I'm asking you to do is put your names of who is clearly better for your administration if you were President (a scary thought) would be considered "draining the swamp" and better than Trumps picks. Not the good ole boys and girls club or in the inner circle with the establishment. Serious, I don't want to hear blah blah blah....he or she sucks.....blah blah blah. Who are you appointees? Simple question since you think you have a simple answer to who President Trump's picks are that suck in your liberal mind.

If I disagree with you about Trump, I must be stuck in my liberal mind. Now THAT is rich. Please, tell me more about my liberal political beliefs that you know so much about.

trump did not pick a single person I would have picked so he must be a loser. Obama picked a lot of people who went to ivy league schools so they must have been geniuses. Funny how they screwed up over and over and over. Syria, Libya, Ukraine, Egypt, the justice department, blm, etc ad nauseum.

I think Trump is a lot worse but think Hillary's capacity for making horrible decisions is unmatched in modern time. Maybe since Lincoln called for 75,000 volunteers for six months to put down those pesky rebels. Re Reading Gates's book the other night I was struck with how many times Obama took very bad advice from that harridan. And then there was her husband's attempt at health care reform.

Trump is an idiot but that is not to say he may not be survivable.

I hear he is going to nominate Dan Patrick's son to be US Attorney for the southern district of Texas. Whoop!!!!!

Stat, that wasn't directed toward you. I posted my original question to you that OUBubba picked up on. So even though I posted what you said, if you read closely it was directed at OU Bubba when I said " I told Statalyzer "I'm not sure who Trump could pick that you'd be satisfied with?" So since Bubba chimed in I was trying to get him to answer who he would have picked if he were President that are clearly better than Trumps appointees. I have no beef with you and sorry if I wasn't clear.

And this is why turncoat Kennedy needs to retire and be replaced with a solid conservative. It's my understanding Kennedy runs point while they're in recess.

Supreme Court allows extended family under travel ban exemption

"The Supreme Court on Wednesday denied the government's request for clarification on who is allowed into the country after the court reinstated part of President Trump's travel ban last month, keeping an exemption for extended family members in place.

The court, however, temporarily blocked the part of the Hawaii district court order that extended the exemption to refugees who have assurance from a U.S.-based refugee resettlement agency for placement in the U.S."

By SCOTUS refusing to clarify 'bona fide' relationship this stays in place until Oct...

"The Hawaii District Court then clarified the court’s meaning of a “bona fide relationship.” The court said the government could not enforce its ban on grandparents, grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins of individuals living in the U.S."

Lynn Hughes for SCOTUS?
If you like legal brevity .......
