Pitching the eighth and holding a1 run lead, Tanner records 3 outs on 8 pitches, including 2 strikeouts. Watching the movement on his pitches and the helpless flailing by the Brewers was inspiring.
I was kind of surprised that there was nary a word about the exceptional inning in the DMN. To me, getting one weak ground out on the first pitch, then getting 6 ineffectual swings without so much as a foul tip over the next 7 pitches was a rare show of domination and excellence.
Scheppers looked like a psycho-mental-meltdown last night. I was screaming to take him out and that was before he smashed the kid's face in. He may need some quiet time.
"Also, what's with this team having trouble giving sufficient run support to Darvish? He is the staff ace and all but, as long as he continues to be prone to giving up the long ball, he's gonna need some help. Drives me nuts."
THIS.
I have been verbalizing this very statement with other R fans today... pisses me off Darvish recently is not getting some reasonable run support... especially against a team with a losing record and in last place like the lowly WS
Scheppers is on the Michael Kirkman awful path... and most of you Zealots know how I loathe Kirkman. I have seen enough of TS - give him the boot!
