Save thousands of lives - ban guns!

well, I think the Federal law is still 21 to buy a handgun, even an Uzi (unless banned in particular states), so I doubt many high schoolers are legally obtaining handguns (I may be wrong since I don't keep up with changing gun laws)

However, obtaining a rifle or shotgun is achieveable for an 18 year old in many states.

The 2nd ammendment only says right to bear arms. It says nothing about the type. However, when any talk about legislation or regulation comes up, my statement holds true. Until we get to the point of talking about banning every firearm available, I dont see how the constitution argument has any weight.

Please educate me. How are pro-gun and pro-drug arguments similar? I don't see it.

Gun ownership is protected in the 2nd amendment because the framers distrusted government and wanted to make sure citizens could take up arms against their rulers if the rulers became tyrannical. Don't see how that applies to drugs.

Even better. Let's ban cars, alcohol, fatty foods, matches and tobacco. This will save even more lives.

Only in lefty world does something so stupid make so much sense.

I think Switzerland has it figured out as well. Military service is a requirement as I understand it and upon retirement you are required to keep and maintain your rifle. I can see the significant benefits of both policies.
