Sarkisian Hire; I Like It

If first impressions mean anything, I’m blown away after watching the brief intro video. As I have said, humility goes a long way with me, and I like this man’s humility, knowing that it is genuine.

Of course he said all the right things, but he did so in a manner and with a level of sincerity that seems unusual.

So from an initial impression standpoint, I really liked what I saw.

The national media has completely missed the boat on why Herman was fired. Barely a mention, if any, of his handling of the racial narratives that were happening this past summer or his condemnation of us fans/alumni. Is every "journalist" today just a dumb jock with a microphone?
And whats the deal with Tim Brando? He used to be such a nice young humble man. Now he just seems pompous and angry.
I'm sure they are prohibited from broaching that subject if they are actually smart enough to realize that is why.

It's kind of nice that he seems to own and actually use a razor, too.

I'm looking for maturity.
No double fingers at television cameras.
No mocking of opposing QBs on live television.
No running down the sideline wildly like a 10 year old when your team scores.

After that, a conference championship would be nice.
Beating the dirt burglars on a regular basis.
Moving into the neighborhood with other playoff teams.

Last night I heard or read apart of his comments.....

'We all know and need Texas to be back and compete for it all'

Very humble and gracious man who has probably grown from some tough days.

After seeing some more detailed information and watching the “Welcome to Texas” video. I’m fully on board. Like I do with all new HCs I consider their first year a pass or throwaway year, but want to see steady progress each year thereafter. It’ll be interesting to see what effect, if any, this will have on recruiting.
