Can we name her greatest kicker of all time yet? She executed a perfect squib kick a few weeks ago and now has an extra point to her name. Two time special teams player of the week? College Football Hall of Fame? All American? Lou Groza award?

I’ll keep my comments to myself here, but setting her up as the first D1 girl to score- really?
Wow a collegiate level soccer player can jog out and kick a FG, okay.
Doesn’t Dr Pepper let em do that at halftime for a scholarship?

I can’t resist, so can Sam play on the woman’s volleyball team?

It was an extra point lol ... but I disagree with mocking it ... I would have loved to see her nail a 57 yard FG ag Iowa State ... but that’s just me after a few beers

Good for her but no doubt there are hundreds of other females that can kick the snot out of a football.....but again, good for her.

If one of our men’s basketball players identified as multi-sexual could he play for both the men’s and women’s teams...?

Kinda rekindles the issue of Universities having the same number of men's and women's sports. Now that she's on the Football team, listed as a man's sport, and now one man's sport is both, do they get to add another man's sport? Looks a little out of balance there.

She did what she was supposed to do at the position. Why is this news?
She won a National Championship three weeks ago for her school as a starting soccer goalie and played for her power 5 football team ... if half our football team had as much between their ... I mean heart, we may have been incredible, but not ... no news in Austin Texas so they had to look elsewhere

Ok. She plays goalie. Congrats. Now about being a FG kicker... Because she has a vagina she deserves praise for kicking a ball? Hmmmm sorry I don't agree. Frankly its offensive in 2020 to suggest that a female should be congratulated for executing a rudimentary task that men perform regularly.

How many times do you suppose she's been attacked by eleven grown men averaging 250 pounds? That is pressure for a 130 pound (just guessing) female doing it for the first time.

Agree. this was 1% about football and 99% a ridiculous stunt. Not that she is not a strong athlete. She probably is, and for her this is probably a significant accomplishment but come on...kicking an extra point is probably the absolute minimum athletic act one can do on a football field. She's not even a FG kicker, she's an extra point kicker. i know this will be interpreted as an attack on her and that is not my intent. it is a criticism of the system that needs to inject a female into a sport that is about as far from her athletic zone as can be....just to feel good about its sexual equality bona fides. stupid.

I'm going to say never. I read somewhere she ran off the field in her spectacular 30 yd kick off a couple weeks ago. While kicking an XP it's illegal to touch her. Sooo, what pressure does she have that any other kicker doesn't have? None?

FWIW, I'm not criticizing her AT ALL. Good for her getting out there and hanging with the dudes. My daughter dated a kicker for a short time who ended up D1 and he was a weirdo softie so I guess most of them are the same as her. What irritates me is her winning SEC player of the week just because she's a girl. Again not her fault, but that's my complaint.

Along what others have stated above, she put on the helmet and pads. Why are we giving her extra brownie points for doing what is EXPECTED on the field of competitive play simply because of what isn't between her legs?

Again it's insulting and isn't promoting equality in the least. Marveling that a female did what any average male kicker can do is almost patronizing. Its turning this woman into a circus spectacle.
