Good luck to Sam. Great Longhorn.

Being a great Longhorn, I wonder if the decision to leave was driven, in part, by the fact that he was only one remaining for The Eyes after OU. I know I bleed burnt orange and would have been put off by that.

Conversely, I'm sure the ingrates probably didn't respect him, in their warped minds, for not going along with them.

So, I wish him well.

I love Sam like I love VY and Colt. It's obviously not because of the champion caliber results but because of his love for UT. People of either category are rare.

Don’t quit Sam. Make an NFL team proud and then whoop all of the other NFL teams that didn’t pick you. I believe in you.

I’ve watched and rooted for Sam Ehlinger ever since he was a sophomore at Westlake High School. He was a great longhorn and will be sorely missed. I wish he had decided to stay one more year. But I respect his decision.

Hopefully he gets drafted by a good team that has a history of developing quarterbacks.
