I'd prefer for today to remember how hard he worked, how much he gave, and how great he was. 3rd or 4th best QB we've ever had. The page turn can come later. Today, we should all just be thanking Sam for everything he did on and off the field. Singing the Eyes by himself. Leaders do what's right when no one is around. Great leaders do what's right when no one else will and it's out in public. He is one of if not the greatest leader we've ever had. He will be missed. And I hope he can finally get is body healed and make a team. He has an NFL body and maybe with a couple of years of not getting the crap beat out of him he'll make the next move successful too.*whew* thank goodness. I thought it was going to be one of those "I'm BAAAAAACK" videos.
I'm glad he was a Longhorn, but I think with this regime change, we're all ready for a page turn.
His legacy will be not just that he carried this team on his back on the field...but that he did so off the field, as well, through a difficult and challenging time.He carried the team on his back to achieve wins where we otherwise would have lost. He gave it his all, and set a good example for others in some difficult times. Good luck to Sam in all his future endeavors.
