Sad Reality....

Y’all can figure which player or group of players didn’t play well but really the new coach didn’t have them ready and made a bad choice keeping Card in.

We played like he talks-soft.

Would you rather he talked like Bo Pellini? Do you think that would lead to better performance?

Am I wrong in making the assumption that you believe Sark's softer talk is a problem that leads us to play soft?

After a decade, my patience is getting thin.

After last night, I am on the volleyball train,
they seem to give a damn and play with emotion.

You obviously didn't watch the Arizona match Friday...but at least they won. But it was the ugliest match I've seen in a while.

I don’t know, but his team played poorly. He didn’t seem too upset. I saw this with Macovic before.

NEVER EVER even have a thought about Sark & Mackovic being similar. Sark has been humbled by his experiences.

Mackovic reacted that way because "it was never his fault. His plan was infallible. It was always someone else's fault"

When changes are warranted, I am confident that Sark will make them. I have my list of changes in hand in case he asks (I'll also have an erection tonight in case Jennifer Anniston stops by). As previously stated, my list starts with S&C.

The sad reality (and it's finally sinking into my thick skull) is that we are a lot further from being an elite program than I thought (feared). If you watched any of Oregon, Ohio State or even the Aggy Defense this weekend you know of what I speak. Imagine if we had played one of those teams, or Bama or Georgia or Clemson. Long way to go folks and it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

A lot can be fixed with attitude changes/toughness and coaching up. Clearly we need more dudes on the fronts but I’m very interested to see how this group of players responds to this group of coaches after an *** beating. We will know a lot more over next few weeks. To Sark’s credit, I thought that a Herman coached team would’ve had us sweating till the very end against ULL and maybe even lost. As far as talent, I disagree for the most part that that’s our big issue. We have had the RAW talent to compete for the Big 12 every year for past 3-4 years. Herman’s biggest or second biggest issue along with culture was inability to DEVELOP said talent. Other people do a lot more with the dudes they get

One word for Sark at the press conference: Disarming.

That was about as good as it gets after a devastating loss. And his decision to not only go with Casey but to announce it before any questions were asked was, well, disarming.

If he can coach as well as he communicates to the press, he will do fine at Texas. (Let’s hope that turns out to be true.)

Does it really help our team and coach when so many are so critical of them after being so upbeat after Sark was hired!!! Be disappointed but try to be positive about the future!!

The reality is we are a national embarrassment. Only saving grace is that the rest of the country already sees us as that. No one takes us seriously. Why the opposition considers it such a resounding victory when they beat us is a mystery to me. We're an empty suit.
One of my best buddies played for USC.....

Kind of like USC if you don't love Texas you hate Texas. Any loss will result in national ridicule especially when you've been average the last few years. I'm surprised people don't realize that by now so for anyone to say we are a national joke is just wrong. Those people are using the moment to get their hate off their chest.

I think it's an attitude issue more than a S&C issue. They care about the game much more than we do and play like it. This has happened every single time we've played Arkansas except 2008 when the talent disparity was so ludicrous that they were just completely overwhelmed.

Our relationship with them is like the M Bison scene with Raul Julia
"Every time we've played it's been the most important game of your season, but for me it was Saturday"

Our 2004 team with guys like VY, Huff, and Derrick Johnson leading the way was at least in position to understand that we were everybody's Super Bowl and relish the idea with a "Alright then? Bring it." attitude. The 1999, 2003, 2014, and 2021 teams were apparently not ready for them to come at us with every fiber of their soul dedicated to making sure we lose more than they even wanted themselves to win.

I wanted Herman to be coach for a solid 5-6 year with winning football so Texas could develop solid recruiting and therefore two-and-three deep prowess at each position. However, covid and BLM and EOT problems (plus other faults) cut his tenure short. Now there's Sark and I'm on board and hope he has 5-6 years to recruit and build that depth. The cajun at LSU was thought to be not worthy but a great recruiter, and they had solid recruiting for several years and then Joe Burrow and championship.
