Rushing the Court

I was at Allen Fieldhouse in 2003 when this happened. After the aforementioned small handful of KU fans rushed the court, the remaining 16,000 proceeded to boo them and yelled at them to get off.

That being said, when you lose on the road and the fans rush the court, bush league or not, consider it a compliment.

KCLaw...
Sure, I can sit back after the fact and think, "At least people feel strongly enough about Texas' status as a program to rush the court after beating us." That was not my point though.

The point in the Nebraska situation was not about the Nebraska fans hurting my feelings and it was not even really a negative thought toward Nebraska fans as a whole. I have stated a number of times that NU fans are my favorites. I have been around them at football, basketball and baseball games. They are very knowledgible in two of those... I just think we found out that they may not be so in basketball. It is simply bush, no matter who you are playing and who your team is, to rush the court when a team is coming off two straight home losses and very close to dropping out of the top 25. It was something that I just saw as comical more than something I put deep thought into concerning my feelings, the Longhorns feelings or being proud to be in a position that someone would rush the court against us.
