Ohio St. might have just caught a huge break (and yes, I know SC still has Mustain).

Best of wishes from the Hornfans community to a speedy recovery.

The USC sports information director has confirmed that Mark has sustained an injury. Interestingly, the injury occurred while the team was stretching.

Looks like this puts Mitch Mustain center stage. Good luck to SSanchez, it is really tough to see a kid go down in pre-season.

USC's 1st game is against Virginia and then they play Ohio St and Notre Dame in their nonconference. I'm sure that gives their players something to look forward to in the offseason.

It is now being reported as a dislocated kneecap by CBS Sports. Out at least 6 weeks.. There will be extra rehab time if surgery is necessary.

Maybe it wasn't as bad as first thought. THANK GOD! I hope he can be near if not 100 percent for the OSU Game... GO TROJANS!

"I landed awkwardly when throwing," Sanchez said. "[The dislocation] is pretty clean. Nothing torn and no cartilage problems. It's the best case scenario.

"I feel good about the other guys being able to fill in. It'll be a seamless transition. They'll do well.

"It was scary, frightening at first. The way they say these things happen, it could be a lot worse. It just hurt a lot when it happened, but it feels better now."

I hope he is okay and soon. Ditto on never liking somebody getting hurt. I don't even like when a rival player gets hurt, that sucks.

Sanchez is a guy who gave some thought to coming to Texas. I wish him well and have respect for USC and its players, most of them.

Ohio State should get thumped. I would like to see their fans pull their ******** in SoCal. Then again, the few with class are the ones that travel. The douches that make up the majority will tear their ****** city of Columbus up. They will cause many dollars in improvements.

Sanchez waited his turn and seems to be a great talent, more so than Booty and Booty was pretty damn good. If he is hurt it defintely changes the national landscape b/c SC's schedule is a ***** for an inexperienced QB to handle.

Sanchez seems like a fairly humble guy who worked his *** off and waited for his chance. You hate to see this kind of thing happen to anyone.

Wow, decaf bro, decaf.

I think he means lucky in that it was not a much more serious injury, as in career ending. I think he means "we" as in the coaches, the players, the fans and esp. Matt and his family. They are lucky indeed that this is all that happened.

If Mitch Mustain can go 8-0 in the SEC led by a complete *** clown in Houston Nutt, I have a hunch that with two more years now under his belt, he can handle the Pac-10 just fine.

Mustain should fill in well....he has experience and PC is a much better HC that Nuttsack....

That's what I was thinking. I'm a Hog so I obviously I have a bias but like I said above, if Mitch can go 8-0 under Nuttsacks supervision in the SEC I'm fairly confident that PC can make use of him in the oh so scary Pac-10.

Hope the kid recovers quickly. As far as the game, it don't make a ****, tOSU is getting thumped. We see what happens when they play teams w/speed and good talent.

Shark, it could be just a catch phrase but I think that USC out mans OSU and has more total team speed. I think the Vest is a great coach but that Pete is a better one at this level. I don't buy into the whole, "Give Pete Carroll two weeks to prepare..." rubbish. I actually think the Vest could scheme better if it came down to a test somehow.

That said, being at home, having an edge in talent, doing more with big games and him being a better actual game day coach (in my opinion) tilts the ball in their favor. They look faster, whatever that means. I think that they will score early and often which takes the heads out of the game for the Buckeyes.

Lucky for y'all you have your usual easy schedule of late since your conference is not very good. I look forward to watching the game and if the Buckeyes win I look for them to be in the championship game...to get thumped again by an SEC team.

Everything said about Sanchez and that he said himself coming out of high school indicated he was good person. I don't think he skated on the rape charge, I think there was good evidence that no crime had been committed.

I hope he recovers quickly. If it was a clean dislocation, he may be back sooner than the prediction.
