Rudy's: What is your take on their food?

I agree about the chopped beef tacos - they are greatness. However, my gripe is, we cater Rudy's to out-of-towners a few times a month, mostly from military bases on the east coast, and it is not a "true" taste of Texas BBQ. In fairness, you can't get that catered (unless you order something from a true Czech like a Mikeska or Staff). But they leave thinking "that is Texas BBQ". And it's really not. It's decent and I'll eat it, but you gotta get out there and taste the road, man...
 
I have traveled a bit outside of Texas, in Florida the most.

Rudy's blows away any BBQ place outside of TX I have visited.

That may not be saying much, but it sure is a good thing to have around once in a while.
 
I think Rudy's is great. Contrary to the rest of you guys, I always get the extra lean. I think it is pretty tastey and I assume it is a lot better for me than the other cuts... I like their beans and slaw too, the tater salad is just ok though. I like getting my plastic cup as well. I have quite the collection.
 
huge, understand and I have been told an evil rumor that the location in Spring won't serve breakfast tacos. If that is the case they might as well stay closed.

If the do however, I can arrange for delivery at the right price. Hell, I have to drive in any way.
