Horns get 13 runs on 13 hits. No errors. Other than some sluggish bats in the middle innings overall a good performance. Keyes continues to slump as does Etier. Rest of bats doing well.

Texas goes to 2-1 in the Big 12 and 15-5 overall.
 
Very nice game. We seem to have come around with the bats, and I think we'll likely leave Walsh and Walla in the lineup. Also, Workman did a good job after struggling early - glad we didn't pull him.

Workman pitched well other than losing a few batters either with a hit or HBP after being up in the count early. 8IP is a great outing and managed his way around NU well.
 
It would always be nice to get a sweep, but the bottom line objective is to win the three-game series - and the Horns did just that. Win every series and the rest takes care of itself. Nice to see the bats starting to come around.

Thanks for the updates throughout the weekend. Glad to see our 'Horns picking up where they left off last season.

And hats off to those 'Huskers for an extremely competitive series!
 
i trust augie in moving the lineup around so that it maximizes our team's talents. incorporating the freshman walla and walsh has been good so far. We need to get our middle and long relievers set and we'll be in good shape.

Thanks for the updates. It is great to read the game log not knowing what the final was.
 
NP on the updates...although sometimes I'm wondering if anyone is even reading them. Overall a good series by the Horns, we steal one Friday and give one back on Saturday. Sunday the bats come alive and Workman handles NU easily with a few exceptions. Taking 2 out of 3 from a better than their record NU is something to be proud of.

What Texanne said. We were on the road 10 1/2 hours back home today so reading over the game updates catches us up. BTW, snowy road conditions fm Ft Worth north last night and most of the way across oklahoma today.

Caught the tail end of the game on Husker radio N of Topeka so at least the end wasn't a surprise.

When I miss the games, I always read the game threads from start to finish so I can experience the game as if it were happening live. Your posts are read and appreciated well beyond the end of the game.

2-2 on the week won't help us in the polls, but nice to get a series win over NU.

I dont mind doing updates just wonder if anyone is reading them...otherwise I'm just distracted on Hornfans when I could be enjoying the game...but if you guys are looking I'll always update when I can...its just nice to know people are out there.
