Round Two: Horns vs Penn State

I said to my buddy when we went down by three, we’re going to see what kind of composure this team has. Well, I have to say that I’m impressed. Don’t know how far we will go, but we’re going to be a very tough out for anybody we play. This team is talented, well coached, disciplined, and it has great chemistry.

And Disu. Talk about a humble young man that rises to the occasion.

We really need to make it official with Coach Terry *now*. What are you waiting for? For him to lose and then do it? That is not a good look.

Terry has the job. Take it to the bank. But personally I would not announce anything right now. To me that would be a distraction. Do nothing to affect the momentum. Let the tournament play out and announce the official hire afterward.

No way CDC and Texas doesn’t make it official. Just not now.

Pitt vs. Xavier tomorrow, winner to play the Horns. Root for Pitt?
Definitely root for Pitt. Xavier has a tall frontline and I think is a bad matchup for Texas. Cougar high is a bad matchup as well. Horns can beat both, but will have to shoot well from deep and aggressively rebound the ball.

Back-court over and back might just be what Texas needed!!
To me, this ^^^ may have been the play of the game. PS had momentum, the ball and one score ties the game. The Lion mistake gave us our Mojo back and the team's confidence was restored, and the rest is history.
A very good Orange glow on that history btw.

SMH!:smh:

I agree. No need to disappoint a certain portion of the fanbase right now.

One rare attribute that I have noticed with this team. There seems to be little or no showboating. Disu seems like the ultimate humble class act, and even when Rice was going off against Colgate, he avoided that Steph Curry type body shake crap, or similar. After they make plays, it’s all business. Some of the credit probably goes to RT. It’s also due to maturity.

Not sure how far this team can go but if humility and team chemistry plays a large part, there is reason to be optimistic.

Xavier funnels their opponent to their shot blockers at the rim. Texas is going to have to play smart and pull up and hit the open 10 foot shot and make good interior passing. Hitting 35-40% from three would be nice as well.
