When we helped the British overthrow Mossadeq, Iranian politicians were executed or assassinated. Where's your beef with that?
MAD is relevant as far as the context in which you frame it. North Korea has nukes and we arent trying to invade them or destroy them. China has nukes, and we do business with them even though we supposedly abhor how they run their country.
As far as Newt is concerned... he is simply co-opting Ron Paul's position in order to make himself look better.
