Ron Paul is leading in Iowa

If by batshit crazy you mean the only candidate who foresaw our economic collapse 10 years ago and who actually addresses our financial problems, then sure. Throw in his acknowledgement of our screwed up foreign policies, and I will be batshit crazy every day of the week.

Paul was not the only one who was concerned about the economic situation.Others certainly joined him starting in 02 and 03
he wasn't even the highest ranking Republican to call for change.
Too bad the Dems drown them out and even played the race card.

Aaand..........the circus goes on.

Perry is evidently doing well with the evangelicals in Iowa. I was hoping Rick would stay on to provide more entertainment. My prayers have been answered.

So essentially the rotating clown gang were:

1. Crazy Michelle who believes that the founding fathers abolished slavery
2. The Donald, who is the birther king.
3. Rick perry,,,well, he's rick perry
4. The Cain train that got derailed after there was too much she said, she said, she said
5. Freddie Mac lobbyist and serial adulterer Newt
6. The 10k bet dude - Mitt, whom none of the TP clowns like

SNL couldn't make this stuff up if they wanted to.

Edit: Forgot the Back to past guy - Ron Paul. A guy who said he wouldn't have given the order to take out bin laden, and believes that Iran should have nukes.

For the record, I am 100% behind the Ron Paul domestic agenda. It's his international policy that scares me. And, yes, I do agree with isolationism to some extent; however, in a completely interactive world, it won't fly.

If the U.S. could withdraw within its own borders and never have to worry about the rest of the World, that would be fantastic. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. Despite my disagreement with 2003 on the other thread, I do agree that cutting the foreign aid budget by quite a bit is a good idea. I also agree that entangling ourselves in other people's issues is a bad idea. Paul, however, completely loses me when he takes it too far, IMO. There are just some things - internationally - that we cannot allow to happen.

(Disclaimer: I apologize for the haphazard nature of my post above. I'm just throwing thoughts out there between keeping an eye on my class. I don't have the time and attention to formulate proper paragraphs and thoughts. I'm just throwing things out there as I type.)

I get on to Roger35 about his obsession with the GOP candidates but I have to say, the list above is pretty funny. Especially, the line about Rick Perry.

Ron Paul is the exact opposite of an isolationist.

He wants free trade and free cultural exchange with the entire world.

He's only an isolationist if, by "isolationist" you mean "doesn't want to have American military installations all over the world when we are borrowing the money to pay for them."

Of course, that's the skewed definition of isolationism that Republicans and Democrats want everybody to hold. It's ridiculous on its face, of course, but then so many of their definitions are.

The real issue here is why on Earth does anyone give a rat's *** what Iowa or New Hampshire think?

Mickey Mouse do nothing state's having so much influence on who is the POTUS is beyond ridiculous.

I'd vote for Paul. I was going to vote for Cain but that's done. Mitt is just fake to me, and Pointy Boots can't go a day without making everyone in TX look like we're all Aggy's.

I hope Paul does win Iowa and screws the whole thing up. I do know in Nov. I'll be voting for anyone that is running against BO.

Knoxville, thats just it though.

These countries in the Middle East do not give a damn about the United States. If we leave them alone, stop propping up their dictators and cut aid to Israel, they will not think twice about us.

Israel has more nukes than they know what to do with, plus an air force and special ops that is as advanced as ours. Don't kid yourself that Israel "needs" the US.

The US just stopping all support for the garbage regimes weve supported there for decades will go a long way.

Ron Paul knows all of this, but the hawks and lobbyists in DC continue to ignore it. The status quo that every other candidate espouses will not change anything.

And besides. We are broke! We can't afford it!

Why don't we make money off our military? It's one of the few things we still do well.

If someone wants to rent our air force and we don't like whoever it is they want whacked, national debt problem solved.

If Mitt finishes in the top 3 without even trying in Iowa, the nomination is his. Ask Huckabee what doing well in Iowa in the late stages meant for their campaign in 2008.
