Romney sealed my vote today...

BI, I really feel for you if you take what you post as fact. You're so terribly misguided and/or uninformed. You make a great comedy strip

BI
You are entitled to your own opinion but NOT your own facts
when you posted this
"How can a conservative support a man who voted for the the thing (TARP) that sparked the tea-party movement? "

you either displayed an ignorance, something you can change with research
or you know better but did it anyway.

Which is it?

At least the Republicans have a plan. Obama and the Democrats have offered us nothing that even they are willing to take seriously. They have had four years in power, including the first two with dominating control of the Congress. They continue to control the Senate to this very day. And now they refuse to even propose serious solutions, much less vote on them.

Obama owes us an explanation of what he intends to do during another term to fix our nations problems that is different than what he has done over the last four years.

Does he really not have a plan, or his he just keeping his intentions to himself because of how unpopular those plans would be if he allowed them to become known?

These 2 candidates don't even really seem to be on the same page. To me all it said was the GOP wanted to try and solidify their party and bring the Tea Party voters into their camp.

What we need are moderates who have a proven track record of working on both sides of the aisle to get things done. Just my 2 cents.

I heard an analysis of the possible VP picks (can't remember where) that broke down like this....

If Romney chose....

Pawlenty, it means he knows he's up 5 pts in the battle grounds.

Ryan, means he knows he's either tied or up 3 pts.

Rubio or Christie = equals down 5 and in need of a serious boost.

BI has never let facts get in his/her way. The TEA party did NOT come about because of TARP.

and further
Paul Ryan has been elected 7 times in a pretty heavily Dem district.

Several of my left-leaning, intelligent, successful friends have all gone totally ape-shirt over Ryan's selection. They have to a man and woman called him a dangerous radical whose ideas on Medicare are immoral. They also call him a fraud, claiming his sort of analysis and budget discussions should be reserved for real economists. Finally, they brand him as a supply-side ideologue who represents a discredited approach to economic policy-making.

I am frankly surprised at both the level of vitriol on these people's part and the relevant inability for both the Democratic leadership and our sitting President to discredit his platform without resorting to scaremongering, half-truths, and hyperbole.

I think Ryan is correct in encouraging debate. It is a shame that the Dems are not up to it.

I think this is a great pick. We need to fix medicare anyway. Now we simply take everyone over 55 and throw them off the nearest cliff. Voila, instantly the medicare budget problem is solved.

Horn89, instead of spewing the left media talking points why don't you do some actual research and see why there was a surplus in the late 1990's and whose plan it was. By your post and what you think about the debt, the two people you should be waving a flag for are Newt and Paul Ryan.

After you do some research, let me know what you think, thanks and have a great day.

Obama needs to step up and tell us what his plan is to reform entitlements and balance the budget.

What is Obama's plan? The American people want to know!

Or, should we just expect four more years of 'this'?
