Rolling Stone not a fan of Bachmann

The fact that anyone is a fan of Bachmann is disturbing.

Isaac Asimov put it well:

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that ‘my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge’.”

Call me crazy- but I want the Stanford/Yale/Harvard people running my country. If they are nerdy, enjoy learning, read often, cultured, well traveled, high IQ, quick to adapt and adjust, an early adapter- all the better. If you can package the above with a charming personality that can communicate well to other leaders, as well as the American people- you may be a strong candidate.

I do prefer people from engineering, science and medicine over law- but, that is a personal bias.

The only people who have any business in positions of power are businesspeople, and I'm not talking about Donald ******* Trump.

I won't get excited about any candidates that don't have that background.

And mcbrett you are crazy, but it has nothing to do with that post.

Are you seriously arguing that there is not some correlation between intelligence and the ability to make good leadership decisions?

Matt Taibbi always comes of like a know-it-all jerk who is overcompensating for being picked on at Middle School.

I went to Bachmann's wiki page to learn more about her background. Found this:

No big surprise that Rolling Stone magazine would not support Bachmann. She may be a looney tune, but I bet they've endorsed politicians with similar characteristics in the past. Obama come to mind immediately.

Rex- when I think of anti-intellectual, i think of you. You follow my posts from thread to thread and vomit clean energy jabs because you like your oil- and it upsets you I don't. That's about as much response you'll get from me for another few months.

Prod- I'd personally love to share an afternoon BBQ'ing steak with GW Bush and drinking some beer. I think he'd be funny and interesting. I also think he was a lousy President. But- he connects enough with guys like yourself that you vote for him and mock the guy with the better grades in school, and question whether academic accomplishments, academic experience has a correlation with ability to lead and solve complex problems.

I'm comfortable knowing I went to a great school, but not the best- perhaps you're not.
