I didn't know that some consider "Help" to be inspired by LSD:

Certainly the use of LSD has produced profound effects on pop culture and music. How many songs were inspired by its use?
I may re-read "Electric Kool-aid Acid Test" in honor of Hofmann's passing. Really, his accidental discovery changed society in the '60's. It was important, at the very least.
