Yay!!!!! Hopefully he will return to his form for the 2002-2003 seasons. He was a force to be reckoned with. Maybe he can play a key role in the turnaround of the Dolphins. I know im being super optimistic.
wins and losses are considered a "team stat" or simply a
W-L record. So, no I put induvidual stats for two induvidual QB's. And no, I didn't put a disclaimer of what wide recievers were playing for that team or their offensive scheme. That seems like a stat sheet with an asterisk to me. The numbers are what they are, like them or not. As much as people love to try to explain why that # is what it is...at the end of the day it still is as good or bad as what it says on the stat sheet. Just explain to me how 9TD's and 17 INT's are better than
11 TD's and 12 INT's? My guess is that you cannot.
"I guess many don't remember that game he played against - who was it? The Pats? Steelers? this last year - it was raining like crazy, and he got the WOOD laid to him - fumbled twice I think - got hurt very quickly."
It was the Steelers.
And you might remember that he came straight to the Dolphins after playing a season in the CFL so no off season for Ricky. He was also recovering from a broken arm.
The game you speack of was his first and only game to play last year.
I don't remember the fumbles but he was injured when a 300 pound lineman stepped on him right between the shoulder blades.
And the new turf was in such pitifully bad shape after the rain that Ricky was able to sink into it thereby contorting his chest and ripping his pectoral muscle.
You can't hold that one game against him if you know all the facts surrounding the situation and the season.
He has had a full offseason to heal and get ready and by all reports here in Florida is ready to rock.
Ronnie Brown will start but Ricky will play and I look forward to big things from him barring injury.
I guess you also don't call $8,000,000. a lot of money...that is what it cost the Texans to pick up Carr's option...not to mention the ****** season they had following that intelligent move.
Parcells is enamored with running backs and Ricky Williams fits his mold quite nicely. He will have his lackey Sparano run a platoon between Brown and Ricky similar to what he was running with Dallas before he left with Julius Jones and Barber. Look for Ricky to get 10-15 carries a game.
