Rice vs. Aggy

Rice leads 4-0 in the seventh which is hardly shocking.

Weather looks good and thankfully Texas probably facing Rice again will start on time at 7 pm on LHN.

aggy hits a grand slam to make it 6-5 Rice.

Maybe they can make Rice use a few pitchers.

aggy just took the lead 7-6. If the catcher catches that throw, it would have been 6-6 going to the 9th.

Maybe Rice can just choke the game away with an error.
They had a double play at second on a caught liner in right field. Instead he sends a wild throw over first base.

So the inning continued with the tying and lead runs advancing to second and third.

Then a hit makes it 7-6 Aggy in the eighth.

But never underestimate Aggy as a homer ties it at 7-7 now in the ninth.

Rice just hit a HR to tie it up at 7.

A game that looked like a blow out potentially could go extra innings. Who knew?

Extra innings it is and the dream of starting our game on time goes out the window.

Well they are wasting arms left and right so to speak so it's
a good thing, but another late night wasn't on my schedule.

Wow, so did aggy just get screwed on that call? It looks like he had it for a bit but it came out while he was grabbing for it. Any umps on this board care to elaborate this one?

Rice takes the lead on a liner to center that came out when he hit the ground.

The replay showed it clearly, but Aggy loses now it will be another folklore loss because they are always screwed by the umps.

Rice leads 8-7 in the tenth.

Longhorns caused the drama to aggy. It is always our fault. As I typed this we also had aggy coach ejected from the game. Great job Horns!

It came out as he rolled over with the ball on the ground and out of his bare hand and he picked it back up and put it into his glove.

Even with the transfer rule it wasn't ever completely transfered before it came out. That is a pro rule by the way.

Childress was ejected.

Now Rice is booting the ball all over the infield trying to give the game back to Aggy.

Runners on the corners on two boots and a wild pitch with one out.

Tied up at 8. aggy has men on 1st & 2nd w/1 out.

A flair to left does tie it up at 8-8 with runners at first and second and one out.

Oh Aggy, a little flair falls in with the left fielder playing shallow and they send the runner with one out and is out by 10-20 feet at the plate for two away.

aggy gets thrown at home but that was on the coach, not the runner. Man advances to 3rd & scores the winning run on a wild pitch. aggy wins 9-8

Then Aggy wins on a wild pitch. It's anything you can do I can do worse.

Aggy wins 9-8 and it's Aggy tonight for Texas.
