WILLIAM TROY "BILL" KAY
William Troy "Bill" Kay of Sinton, Texas passed away at the age of 60.
Bill was born July 3, 1945 in Richmond, Texas to John D. and Martha Meador Kay. He grew up in and around Van Vleck, Texas where he graduated from high school.
Bill was a Vietnam Veteran, having received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal. He is a life long member of VFW and is a past commander of the Zapata Post 7768.
He was employed in the oilfield for most of his working career. For the last 15 years, Bill was self-employed as an Oil and Gas Consultant, working in the United States and West Africa.
Survivors include: his wife, Jessie Lee Kay of Sinton; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Anderson of Beaufort, South Carolina, Theresa and Ricky Hernandez of West Columbia, Debbie and Steve Martinez of Brazoria, Kimberly and Moises Espinoza of Taft, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, William Troy, Jr. and Jennifer Kay of Sinton; sisters, Barbara Flanagan of Wadsworth and Jolene Tobar of Dallas; brother, Roger Dale Kay of Florida; eight grandchildren, Melissa, Joey, Ami, Michael, Ashley, Julian, Christian, Genesis and a host of other relatives.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Hardaway officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
Pallbearers include Pete Anderson, Brent Matura, Duane Matura, Joey Matura, Ricky Matura and Larry Lewis.
His oilfield friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
