Remind you of anyone?

Congratulations. He knocked over a guy who had given up on the play, and he was bigger than that guy.

This reminds me of someone

I forgive you because only someone who watched Vince for 4 years at Texas can truly understand and appreciate what Vince Young did. People around the nation who saw maybe the Michigan Rose Bowl, maybe the OU game, and watched a couple drives of the Colorado *** stomping don't understand that unlike Reggie and Matt and guys like Tebow, we actually had a good defense, so while we were racking up points we were also not giving up any. Add to that, we scored on D and ST many times that year. VY was almost never in the game in the 4th quarter, and most of his 2nd halves were spent handing the ball off to the RB's. VY was the first 3,000/1,000 guy ever, and he missed a ridiculous amount of time he could have spent on the field because we were a complete team. So **** Urban Meyer and the "best player of our generation" aka the most overhyped player since Reggie was playing pro ball at USC. There is only one VY. Just as Grant Hill, Jerry Stackhouse, Felipe Lopez, and Kobe Bryant are not and never were the next MJ, There will be no other VY ever again.

Nice run, you ought to be excited. If you look at the earliest plays Vince ran, they were electrifying. In fact, I think his first run was for over twenty yards. In the OU debacle of 2003, look at some of his plays in the first half. Jaw-dropping.

2003 against OU

Pryor impresses, but the bar is high.

edit: Two goofed up QB names in a week. I'm aging.

You know I really love and appreciate our non-UT posters, but . . .

I think this clip is pretty weak tea. OK, so your skill player hit a guy who had pretty much given up on the play (not a good idea) and knocked him down. Garbage time nothingness. Not compelling.

He reminds of that guy who was playing football, and some other guy was playing defense, and he hit that second guy. What was that guy's name?

I've been pretty impressed with Pryor's ability as a true freshman. As far as throwing the ball he looks to be ahead of where VY was at that point in his career. I don't think the fact that he is starting over Boeckman is an indicator of anything but the fact that he doesn't suck as much.

But is he as explosive as VY? Nope. He is definitely quick and big, and will have lots of success running in the Big 10. Who wouldn't?

Robert Griffin at Baylor is more like Vince IMHO than Pryor.

Pryor will benefit from the rather miserable Big Ten and their slow assed defenses. Ohio State and maybe Penn State are the only teams with any measure of team speed comparable to B12 and SEC.. and Ohio State got de-stroyed by USC, and looked two steps slower throughout.

Watch Griffin's game against UConn... that was a far more heroic effort than anything that Pryor has done or will do this year considering that Griffin's team completely sucks.

Wow guys cut him some slacks lol. Shark's just excited about Pryor, as he should be. We would too if we had him. Seriously I think it's more of an honor to VY when people use him as a measuring stick.

Pryor is a player and more likely than not he's going to be pretty speical when all is said and done.

Real smart, a QB leading with his throwing shoulder to deliver a hit on a DB instead of running OB. If Pryor keeps that up, I predict a brief, injury-stunted career.
