Reggie wants his Heisman back

I'm pretty sure an agent giving a player a house is still against the rules even today.

Money is fungible though. As long as you give him an amount of money that just happens to be equivalent to the house you've nudged him towards, and find some piddly use of his image for it to be payment for....

Reggie did earn accolades for his play that season. He was a great player. Vince was better. So if right is right, then he should ask for it back so he can give it to Vince.

That being said, he is paying the price for cheating. Right is right on that too. Every great player who received benefits under the table could have gone anywhere they wanted, but instead, they went to the highest bidder. OU has won seven championships and we know why. The fan base does not deserve the ego trip of a no lifer they receive just because their school outbid others. There is no glory to this. Had the players gone where it made the most sense academically and on the field, then it would be very interesting to see how the championships would have been disbursed. But instead, we have the cheaters and we don't have to respect or like them.

And I don't.

And I don't like Reggie because they lied back then and now he is arrogantly wanting a trophy that should have gone to Vince.

Too F'n Bad.

The crux of the matter is that the playing field was supposed to be level. The rich schools cheated and paid the players under the table. Nobody cares now because the dam has broken and the rich will win every year. But lying and cheating should never be excused. And that's what he did.
