Refferee calls in Navy vs Virginia game

Navy has Virginia's number on this one 42 -7.

This group of officials should not be allowed to do high school games. Several blatant calls have been overturned including one of the worst targeting calls ever. A lineman jumped to block a pass and came down on the QB with helmets brushing cheek to cheek. Even the idiot announcers kept talking about leading with the crown of the helmet. The lineman's helmet was over a foot higher than the QB while he was trying to block the pass. The call was obviously overturned.

On another play the official marks the ball on the sideline, takes the ball to the middle of the field and marks it a first down. They take a measurement in middle of the field totally confused. They have to do a review to see the ball was more than a yard short of the first down. The whole game has been clown alley for the officials.

I have my bet on Navy and they are really cleaning Virginia's clock. All running plays with 11 men in the box and still able to run for well over 300 yards. Why can't we do that?

Partly because we constantly give up on the run. Daniel Young was successful running last night and they would quit doing it and try some cutesy play with Heard or would try Ehlinger only to get stuffed two yards short. They never seem to let the line get confidence.

That too but Navy has smaller players playing, run every play against 11 in the box and gain huge chunks of yardage. Maybe when you do only a few things over and over you actually get good at them. The blocking by Navy was incredible. The QB plays under center and they hit the line bam. All year navy had 17 three and outs. Wow

Might add that Army is virtually doing the same thing.

It was Dan Romero, another Walt Anderson "Cali-prune-ya" special. The guy is not even a good Big Sky official, and he gets some MWC & WAC stuff. The California HS leagues won't even let him do playoff games, yet Walt Anderson brings him to primetime to represent the Big XII. Worse yet is the fact that Romero is better than Smith, Anderson's Philadelphia reject.

We all know who gave Anderson his job, and we know what he was. Take a long hard look at Anderson's list of "appointees".

Once we get a commissioner with balls, we can get Anderson fired (if he's lucky) and replaced with either Cooper Castleberry or Mike Defee. Until then, we live with the embarrassment that is a dentist from Sugar Land.

Glad you had that info. It was just crazy that the runner ran out of bounds but the official picked up the ball, brought it to the middle of the field and spotted it. They then took a measurement at that point. Somebody realized how stupid they looked and had the replay official spot the ball which was a yard short of the first down. Several times their was confusion over rules and they had to have a staff meeting to clarify. I have to clarify that it was probably the second worst officiated game ever right next to you know which one.
