Reaction to Irby's injury, Section 108, Row 23...

Wow TJ, my usual complaints are having to sit around a complete 'know it
all' or complete game hand sitter.
Like another responder my first impression was you over exaggerated the event but since you came back on it I am only ashamed for the horses-***. I am afraid I would have said something - tried to be reasonable but said something anyway. I know my wife would have. No way would she allow the 'your son' aspect to go by.
I too would be classified as an 'old fart' fan but with my radio and jumping up and down I don't usually get classified that way, at least as a fan. My biggest disappointment at game comments is usually when I have a grandson or daughter there and happen to sit by Mr (or sometimes Ms) foul mouth.
Just my 2 cents,
Hookem

For some of us that have to drive 3.5-4 hours to get home, sometimes leaving early is a good thing. Especially, night games where you don't get home till 1-2am or later.

Sorry, it is Rice, the game was a blowout, and yes I wanted to beat traffic and get home at a decent hour, sorry!!!

Back to the original post.....I don't see how anybody would have been able to ignore the pain in Blaine Irby's face as he was carted off the field. That made me wince, in fact it brought tears to my eyes. He was hurting so badly, how could anyone yell about dragging the kid off the field.

I'm surprised "they" didn't call for sawing his leg off right then and there?

I owe an apology to many on here. I was just upset with the OP's situation, and that someone would actually have said that about an injured Horn player,or any player for that matter.

I don't think y'all are all "old farts".... just those that tell us to sit down, be quiet, etc... Perfect example was when I was at teh Spring game this year and an older gent was sitting next to me and my nephew. Everyone around us was yelling and standing for the team, but then he had to chime in "Sit down, this isn't aggy." It's remarks like that that aren't needed. Just STFU! So I apologize if I offended any of you older gents. I just don't care for someone to tell me to sit down or shut up, esp when I don't get to attend a game on a regular basis. Unfortunately, I am like Bill in Sinton, I didn't attend The University, I am not priveleged enough to go to every game, so when I do, you can guarantee I will be supporting the team until the very end. If I think everyone should do the same, that falls on me, and I apologize. I was being selfish. I am a Horn fan, and I will die a Horn fan, even if I don't go to the game.

My dad is in his late 60's though so I doubt it was him.

I will be in 108 for the Mizzou game and will regulate....

When Chiles fumbled, a guy behind me yelled "You're a waste of a scholarship Chiles!!". But I played it cool and just told him to go **** himself.
