RB and WR depth/movement

I'm hoping that Moore will be back. I don't know what his motive was for what he did, but as far as we do know, he didn't hurt anyone and he didn't use it in the act of breaking another law. This is something that he should come back from. Hopefully this will be a lesson for him.

I'm still willing to bet it had something to do with a girl. 90% of the stupid things we do are because of women.

Ain't nuthin' but a g thang baaby.

It's looking like our RB depth might be a lot more notable than our WR depth - any thoughts on if Whittington might play receiver next year instead? Or maybe be a Ramonce Taylor type who switches between the positions depending on the team's needs in a given game?

I just want him in a game.

I'm expecting Whittington to go back to WR, but then again, he might be our new Romance Taylor where he gets equal time at both positions.
Well....Hell must have frozen over.... LOL
Austin_Bill and I see eye to eye on something. I would add that they might want to look at him as a two way player if not for the history of his injury. Wouldn't want to stretch him too thin... He was a stud DB in HS as well as an offensive beast.
The fact we are looking at another RB in the class points to Rojo as well as maybe Whittington moving back to the positions they were recruited for.

Re: Whittington

Above all, I just hope he's not being rushed back into action, and that he's completely healed up before he participates again. No need to rush things. He's got time.

Don't let it go to your head :coolnana:

I’m thinking Liebrock may get split out some, or start some plays lined up at TE, then shift out 5-10 yards on audibles before the snap. He’s fast, tall, can jump, and has sticky hands, but I’m not sure about his blocking.

The debate on whether or not to take another running back reminded me that we haven't updated Whittington's status in a while.

I'm of the opinion he should move to wide receiver as it's less stressful on the body. As we know he's had three hernia surgeries -- one in high school and two since he arrived at Texas.

We reported when he returned from the second surgery that he was nowhere near himself. He was in quite a bit of pain. The good news is his pain has decreased significantly with the third surgery and there's optimism he can return. The bad news is, he's tired of going through this. If this surgery doesn't work it could spell bad news.

I would happily take Tre Bradford (he's going to be difficult to land; more below) in this class but I wouldn't take just a warm body due to depth chart fears.

Next year's depth isn't great but you could still move Whittington back to running back if need be.

I would put Whittington in the slot and Jake Smith outside. We'll see if they take a good look at that. For now, hope that his rehab continues to go well. Word is it feels different than the previous surgery.

Hopefully the second surgery was the anomaly (I believe was not done by the expert).
