An amazing number of first basemen around the league have been part of the Rangers minor league organization:
Mark Texiera, C Davis, J Smoak, Adrian Gonzales, Travis Hafner and Carlos Pena. Add Mitch Moreland to the list of genuine major league first basemen in this league. He's the Rangers best power hitter and awfully good defensively.

They are winning all sorts of ways even overcoming 3 HR performances. That third HR Miggy hit was sick. Fast ball tailing in on his hands and he gets the meat of the bat on it and sends it over to almost dead center.
