I do not remember her being all in as a Horn before. In fact I think she said some somel less than kind things about her time in Austin
Maybe she decided she needed some pub.

Very interesting article on Texas being overrated ... or maybe not.

Best quote "This is the Herman m.o. at this point. You will always get the best version of his team in big games, and that team will turn around and show you as little as possible against everyone else. It makes them almost impossible to project or to trust."

The eyeball test agrees that there are two Texas teams. I am not discerning enough to know yet whether Herman is intentionally conservative against weaker opponents or if he is just good at getting his team focused for big games. But it does have me thinking hard about it ...

It's pretty clear halfway through the season that his playbook is a lot more open in big games. I do think a lot of people on this board overplayed the idea that he was overly conservative in some stretches of those games, but it does look like he tries to win with relatively simple offensive game plans against teams where he thinks they should be able to "out-talent." Don't know if that's true or not, and I'd say we'll have a pretty good test case in the Okie State game, coming off a bye.

Well, if he thinks performing just over 50% in what's supposed to be a predictive poll is doing well, I don't really care what his opinion is.
Through seven weeks, the S&P+ rankings are performing well, hitting 54 percent against the spread and 53 percent on the over/under point totals for the year.

I have a question about "crabtree's catch". Isn't it true if Earl had knocked Crabtree out of bounds at the end of the game then tech would simply kick a field goal to win. If true then Earl's missed tackle is not as big as it seems.
