Long was once considered a potential superstar amongst ADs, and through a series of poor hires and poorer actions, he slid down the food chain to Lawrence. This is going to be such a huge embarrassment that KU will be lucky to get junior high coaches to apply for jobs.

No schools in the AAC are worth poaching. City schools (Hou, Cinn, Memphis, Tulsa), weaker schools that occasionally have some okay seasons in the big 4 sports (Temple, Wichita State, East Carolina, SMU?), or places too far away to be feasible for what they offer (UConn, Central Florida despite their MNC in football). Forget South Florida too (Hello, Charlie...). Doubt that any of those schools could get a majority vote for admittance to the B12. Why would the conference members want to dilute the $ they are getting with 2 more mouths to feed whose presence adds nothing in regards to national interest or excitement for the fans?

That's crazy not with Sam at quarterback. We have too many good athletes for that to happen. I say we have maybe a one or two Lost season and we beat Oklahoma twice.
