My classic example is a young man the church asked me to advise.
BBA/MBA from Private University with high GPA
Married with a 4 month old
$150,000 in student loans
Current job paying $38,000/year
We talked about interviewing, goals, needs (WHAT IS YOUR NUT)
By the Grace of God, and a few phone calls, he found a career starting him at $85,000 and health insurance.
There are many schools (particularly "trade schools" that get these kids $30,000 in student loans and a job at $10/hour) that don't give a damn about the kid or his future, just get their tuition &
Very true Also, Government getting involved in student loans has a lot to do with the increased cost of college. They are guaranteeing the loan to the university and is a big reason why universities are charging so much to attend. Now the government is forgiving student loans leaving the taxpayers on the hook and encouraging higher tuitions Universities have layers of hidden administers not needed. They need to get rid of the 4 year programs and go to 2 years. A student should be able to go straight into thier major program. I would think by the time they are out of high school they have had enough of English, history, and pe courses. Get the government out of it Whenever they get involved it always becomes a mess.My classic example is a young man the church asked me to advise.
