Respectfully disagree...they may need those nuts come Saturday. I recommend 2 extra gassers per 5 yard penalty & 4 for major penalties.
 
IDK if the NCAA actually said this, or if some writer penned it as something the NCAA should say, but, when the court case went against the NCAA and this snowball got started, it was said, on behalf of the NCAA, "Someday, you will be begging us to come police this mess."
 
I saw that Malik Murphy transferred from Duke to Oregon St.
He had a good season and would have been the starter next year.
He had a good platform to show his stuff to the NFL
Why transfer????? Any ideas other than NIL.

I think he transferred to Kentucky. At least it was in an earlier post on this thread.

The part the NCAA will never understand is sometimes to improve something you must break it first. The NCAA was living in the 50's refusing to budge. Thanks to their inaction we now have this hot mess of NIL, portals, eligibility, etc. I'm hopeful someone comes to the rescue and gets guidelines in place before the SEC just takes the whole thing over and permanently ruins it.

He would not have been a starter at Duke next year. If you read the Duke message boards, he was basically told to hit the road because they were bringing in Mensah from Tulane who has 2 more years of eligibility and is thought to fit OC Joe Craddock system better that Murphy.

I read that Murphy was told he could stay but he was being “recruited over” for another starter and he would not have NIL money for next year.

Duke fans are very gracious and sympathetic to Murphy in his departing.

Last time I saw it was in the 60's. Green Bay use it to beat someone (don't remember who). I think the rule has changed. IIRC, Green Bay kicked it off a tee with no holder.
I, too, thought the rule had gone away. Guess not.
