Hi Longhorns' fans! First time poster here! Long story, short... I was on the official UT website for about 40 minutes before I gave up looking for the link to the radio broadcast of the game.... couldn't find it. Maybe it was right in front of me...? I consider myself a pretty capable website user, but this one didn't seem to have much of anything usable... I eventually gave up and just watched the statcrew link, but it wasn't the same. Can someone send me the link for tomorrow's game?

To my knowledge there aren't many (if any) women's games with internet streaming (if this is what you are asking about). If you are in Austin the games are broadcast on AM 1300, but I'm assuming you are looking for an internet broadcast.

Someone, anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks for the response Rexy. I hope you're wrong b/c that would really dissapointment me if a school like Texas can't figure out how to utilize Yahoo or something else... I like to listen to a lot of different radio broadcast from around the country (I really enjoy the 'flavor' of different areas ... especially those in the south w/ a southern draw).

Don't think it's about figuring it out. think it's about how much money UT sports are worth....

Oh, I see you were talking about something like Yahoo. Yes, you can get the broadcasts at Yahoo - BUT - many posters have said that even Yahoo failed to broadcast some of the games (if not most) in real time. Often they were delayed.

I thought you were talking about streaming from UT or from 1300 the zone (radio station that carries the Horn games)

Thanks for the info everyone!

I think Texas could stand to browse a couple different school sites to see what they are doing. I'm a big SEC and ACC fan and every one of those schools' wbb pages always have 'at least' the live link on their official school website page so you don't need to hunt for it through Yahoo (some schools do make you pay to listen, but the majority do not) .... as my handle reads, I'm a hoops 'junkie' and since the SEC and ACC tournaments are finished I thought I would check out the Big 12 ... I guess I was just suprised that Texas' site didn't have more basic and useful info directly on its site.

Anyway, thanks again... and good luck in the tournament!

As I mentioned in the other thread, Texas usually does post the links to the Yahoo audio broadcast. Normally, you will see an audio icon next to the game on the schedule at the bottom of the TexasSports.com homepage. They do not usually stream audio directly from TexasSports.com, and the local radio station is not permitted to stream UT sports events on their website because of the Yahoo subscription-based program.

Texas has been using Yahoo for a number of years now, and I never had any problems with it until this year. For some reason, this year's games have not been available until well after the games have started.

As far as looking at other schools' sports websites, I happen to think Texas has the best I've seen. Most schools have cookie-cutter CSTV types of sites that are not user-friendly. TexasSports.com and MackBrown-TexasFootball.com are very easy to navigate, rapidly updated, and have tons of quality information on the teams, athletes, and coaches for every sport.
