That is some kind of sunshine pumping. I gotta give you that.
Quinn was clearly injured in the 2nd half. That's not disputed. Dude couldn't throw the ball. He was hurt. Sark risked him getting hurt even more. Call it gutsy all you want but he took a real chance there. We became one dimensional, not by 4D chess, but because for some strange reason Sark didn't want to take Quinn out, even though that would have been the smart move. It's a damn good thing we could run the ball as well as we did because we sure as heck had no passing game.
Let's all hope Quinn is at least 90% for the aggies or Sark won't have a choice. He will have to put Arch in. Enough coddling Quinn for whatever reason. We can't compromise the teams chances of winning this next game because loyalty or some such.
Jay hit on exactly why Sark left QE in the game.
Sark trusted the defense to hold the line - completed.
Sark trusted the OL to dominate the LOS - completed.
Sark asked QE to toughen up, manage the game, and trust that they had this - complete
Sark introduced all of this "culture" simply by leaving QE in the game. It was brilliant. The locker room after the game had an energy that may indeed lead to 2x Ships.
I've given up ripping Sark about Arch. The ride is about to kick up a couple notches. During the ride, trust that regardless of what happens thru the first 59 minutes, that at 60 minute mark Horns will be on top.
May sound like sunshine, but any run to the Ship will be assisted by an appearance from the Football Gods, and Sark coached the UK game in a manner that stowed up a lot of points with the Football Gods.
