Hope this is the right forum, but does anyone know when the dad-gum band web site will ever be up and running?

Yes and no. The website is up but you can't hear any music or see any of the shows. It's been like this for months. Will it ever but up/finished?

There's no one dedicated to the site. I really doubt it gets updated again besides dates. Sorry.

Email Dr. Scott Hanna ([email protected]), Dr. Robert Carnochan ([email protected]), and LHB Info ([email protected]), and kindly ask for the LHB web site to be updated.

Dr. Hanna is the director 'in charge' of such things.

Emailing the "web administrator" on the site won't do much good, as that person has another job now and really can't do much about the site these days. I'm pretty sure that they haven't found someone new to take over the site since that person graduated (in December).

I know there was a push to incorporate it into the School of Music site, but I'm not sure what ever happened with that. If that happened, it would be much easier for them to manage and update information, photos and videos.

Here's Dr. Carnochan's response.
Dear Hornrush,
While the transition has been VERY slow going, I am assured that our new site is almost complete and it will indeed have LHB sights and sounds as before. I am sorry of the delay, please give us your continued patience as we work out the final bugs.
The Eyes of Texas is a stoic, heart-felt song with great meaning and tradition, I like it on the slower side so that when people sing it they really have the chance to think about and "feel" the meaning of the text and not just slam through it. I personally conduct the Eyes at different tempi for different occasions - it'll never be the same and in my opinion never should. Music is a living breathing art form, not an exact science - it is intended to change and evolve. Just my $.02.
