Putting Dad in Hospice

As some of you may have read on my previous thread, my Dad has been in the hospital since June 28. He's had alot of problems (heart, stress fracture in his lower back, intestonal infection, cellulitis, dimentia/Alzheimer's, etc.) and he is just not getting better. He wants to go home to Jesus and be free of his constant pain. He also knows that he is "going nuts" as he puts it, and that makes it so much harder on him.

Please keep my Dad in your prayers. He is a diehard Horn fan, and even in his pain and dementia he still asks me practically every day if the Horns won.

Continued prayers.

Thanks for the prayers guys. My family and I really appreciate it.

The hospice people are doing a great job of taking care of Dad. He is comfortable now and not in pain all the time. The hard part is not knowing when God will take him home. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

Sewanee,
I understand what you're going through because my Dad is in a very similar situation and condition right now.

Obviously your father is very special to you, and I share that with you as well, in that I view my Dad as having as much character as any man I've ever meant. Thoughts and prayers with you and your family, and please keep my father in mind as we face this together at this time
