Purdue/OSU

While I agree it would make for a more compettive CFP without Alabama, one loss and Alabama is still in the CFP.
Oh yes, absolutely they are but it could take some of that shine off ‘Bama and reduce the chance of 1-loss SEC, SEC, SEC teams pushing out everyone else with the clear SEC bias that’s out there, handing another MNC to Saban on a silver platter.

If Bama loses to LSU in 2 weeks, shuts Bama out of the SEC title game; but if Bama wins out with only a loss to LSU, Bama's in the CFP.

Then, assuming LSU and UGA win their remaining games and then they're in the SEC title game, the winner of that is in the CFP.

Would the committee also select LSU at 2 losses if UGA beats them in the SEC title game? LSU has already beaten UGA in the regular season.

The PAC12 is bloodying each other; no team is undefeated, so real possible that the PAC12 champ will have 2 losses by CFP consideration.

Same for the B1G as for the PAC12.

Same for the Big12.

I could see 3 SEC teams and ND in the CFP. It's what ESPN would want afterall.

Edit: Forgot Clemson. Thought fer shore NC State would handle them yesterday.

As much as I would love to see a wide open CFP, the best chance for the Longhorns to make it is for Alabama to beat Lsu, and beat whoever wins the sec East thus eliminating all Sec teams except bama. Assuming Clemson and ND win out, that leaves one spot up for grabs. A Penn State victory againt meatchicken this week followed by another beatdown of Ohio state at the hands of meatchicken later on, we should be in assuming we win out.

Ohio State fell apart, looks like everyone in the top 10 is moving up after this game.
I won't be the least bit surprised if they remain ahead of us.

I didn't watch Game Day, but heard they were throwing shade at us. (did I use that in proper hip context?). Pollsters may not have the guts to drop them behind us.

We will see.

Have to say my biggest take away from game, well two bigggest, missed out big time on Moore and need to hire the play caller from Purdue - outstanding game by both.

Not that it would have made a difference in the end, but did anybody else notice the entire officiating crew forget the rules on fumbling? Purdue fumbled at the 18, it went out of bounds (crossing the first down line) at the 12, and Purdue was given the free 6 yards plus the free first down.

Only applies to 4th down?

The rules for players advancing fumbles are different, but a fumble going forward and out of bounds short of the goal line never counts as being advanced on any down.
