Punches Flying

I live in Austin (a great city) and was in NYC (also a great city) for the game. We were sitting close to the team and didn't see the fights start, but saw a few flurries of punches when we turned towards the roars behind us. Beer and stupidity are a bad mix.

Said hello to Reggie Freeman after the game. Super nice guy.

I recall visiting my brother who grew up in Austin but moved to Boston 10 years ago. We visited them in Boston when his little boy was 4 years old. The child was so disrespectful to his parents as well as to me and his grandparents. He made our visit quite unpleasant, it was a shame. When I finally approached my brother and told him I was shocked that his little boy was so very rude...my brother responded with an "attitude" and asked me...do you mean "Boston rude"? As if that excused his poor behavior. Geography should never ever excuse rude, crude or disrespectful behavior.

Touche Scipio, New York City is not in New England. But I wasn't going to split hairs here.

I would still lump Jersey, Philly, New York and Boston into the same attitudinal class.

And I misused the word polity, thinking it interchangeable with politeness when it only applies to politics. My apologies. I guess I learned something today.

But I think the argument still stands.
