Prominent African American Politicians or Governme

I can't help but chuckle at what you brazenly pass off as an informed opinion of John based on what some old washed up, smarmy, bigoted talk show host says about John, The meme with people like you is always the same; give a back hand to the non dominant culture person you don't understand and can't control. Oh and you must always make sure that your narrative includes some inside knowledge of the outwardly field Negro being secretly but wholly owned by his white oppressor, so in the end you've convinced yourself that you still control that Negro.

Suggesting that John's supporters hate white people just by virtue of their support of him is paranoid flattery of your ability to discern what is important to black people. Even John's most vocal critics give grudging respect to his effectiveness and abilities as a county commissioner. You intentionally insult a whole community of people with what can only be called a supremacist notion of knowing what motivates us politically.

Since Maureen Dickey hates John and since I've eaten Dickey's BBQ, I know what she's really like and I also know her constituents hate black people.

See, I can create silly, faulty *** syllogisms too.

I've got a family member with whom I'm very close. Was a city councilman. Has much disdain for JWP and has told very specific damning stories. That, combined with his public persona, with which I'm very familiar, I know all I need to know about the dude. He's scum.

Family member always says, though, that JWP represents his constituents. Probably an indictment of JWP and his constituents.

And here I was thinking you cared.

All I'm saying is, don't accuse people of not knowing what JWP is all about just because you happen to know him.

These kinds of testimonials are easy to find. All one has to do is look for them:

I have had enough of the attacks on my friend, County Commissioner, John Wiley Price.
It is a strange thing about Dallas that John works so hard for the county and is never given proper credit, but when he is in the middle of something like the event that occurred last week, far too many people are ready to jump on the negative bandwagon. John has been a leading fiscal conservative on county business for years. He stepped in and solved the long-running problems at the county jail.
The speaker at the Commissioners Court meeting last week was way out of order and should have been tossed before a scene ever developed.
I would not have done what John did in response to the speaker. I would have jumped over the rail and physically gone after him. Then again, at age 72, I might have walked around the railing.

Charles T. Terrell, former chairman of Texas Criminal Justice Department Board and former Dallas City Council member, Addison

Your opinion of John is based on a SELECTED reading of the SOME of the things he does. Given the antipathy with which you and others view him, it's no surprise that you think you're being objective. You're not. Your hatred is just cleverly espoused.

The vast majority of John's constituents love him and it has next to nothing to do with white people. Stop flattering yourself.

One last thing: It's because of the brisket that I can speak with authority about Maureen Dickey
