Predict Horns vs WVU Moutaineers

Man, some of you rascals are very optimistic the TEXAS D holds WV O to a rather "modest" score....

I'll noodle on this prediction a little longer.

HIC I would like to agree with you except I saw the last quarter of the ou game and all of the Baylor and OSU games, and what I witnessed is a defense that can be schemed against very easily.

How many weeks did we have that hope and expectation across the past several seasons though? And after watching Boyd go after Acho, I am not sure shame is in the makeup of some of this team...

Embarrassed last week? We lost by 3 points and played pretty well at times. We almost came back to win. True I don't know why their receivers we're open so much I guess it was because we were blitzing alot trying to make something happen. We had a few drops that could have made a difference. Refs missed holding call on their last td. Holding Boyd. We were playing at their place and almost won.

Yes. 1st half was embarrassing and the last score was as well. Played well most of the second half, I agree.

As far as the rest of you rascals, well, like I said, hopefully.

Edit: I was specifically referring to the defense, which was referenced in Worster's post that I quoted, as being embarrassed.

There is far more to the calculus than final score. This was NOT a performance by a team that was indicated to be in the top-10, was favored to win and had SOME (albeit not all) discussing the what-if's of CFP implication if they could have run the table.

Teams in those three categories don't make the mistakes Texas made and they damned sure don't find solace in aggy-esque things like 'almost won.' This is a team that WAS NOT the better team on that field and was out-played, out-hustled and out-coached. Once again, Texas managed to make an unheard of QB look like a world beater...and the defense contained the run about like a sieve contains water.
 
My take going into this weekend is exactly like it was going into USC. I knew that it was a big game, but I really didn’t have a clue whether or not we would win or lose, or win big or lose big.

The one thing that seems to be reasonably predictable about TH is that his team will probably keep it close. But then again, the OSU disappointment could linger and we
don't know what’s happening in the locker room...the Boyd factor. One way or another, the character of this team will be revealed.

Well, some of the predictions for this game look like scores that I'd predict if we were playing Kansas. Like Horns 50+ and wvu 20-

I don't see how we have our highest scoring game while holding them under 25.

So, its early in the week and now it looks grim: Horns 31 wvu 41

I'm a bad predictor, so this should mean a Horn "W"
